Somewhere between right and wrong, there is a battle being waged with only one winner, Truth. The moment we gave ourselves back to Christ as our Lord and Savoir, a battle call went out silently to the world to fight for our salvation. Recognizing we are nothing more than morning dew among reeds in a field in the grand scheme of things, our salvation is all we ever had to look forward to. Now, how small are we in the “Big Picture” of things to come? At some point in time, we grew up and became aware that we are not bigger than our Lord. We yielded the right of way to his teachings as a Light unto the world. Peeling back the layers of self absorption, we opened our hearts to let the love pour out! All that was important to us increasingly became less and less, as the exhaustion from a life spent running away from something and turning into a life of running to something. Something we had replaced with materialism, financial security, vanity, selfishness and many other non rewarding adjectives that fade with time. We began to search our hearts for the Truth of life and liberty. We set out on a journey of discovery, only to find ourselves looking in the mirror and asking the ultimate question we will one day face in front of our creator, “What did we do with our Father’s son Jesus Christ name while we were here on earth?” The struggle began when we asked Jesus Christ to come into our hearts and dwell with us forever. Once this happened, the people of the world began to study our every move. Satan sat up and took notice of where we are weak, when we are vulnerable and the best time to strike us, proving he is Lord and not Jesus Christ, over us. The battlefield is wide but the road to salvation is a very narrow path, as many are invited yet few are chosen. When we set our sights on Jesus Christ, the devil sets his sights on us! All too often, we find ourselves trying to reach out to others to share the good news of the coming of our Lord, only to realize that Satan has a way of closing the eyes and ears of our dearest family and friends. Sharing the gospel you see, can divide people on principle. Some people feel they don’t need to hear the “Good News” of Jesus Christ yet sadly, they are curious from a far about those who proclaim Him to be their Savoir as they witness the blessings bestowed on those whom are Faithful to Him. You see, Jesus did not come to heal the righteous but the sick and sinners. Oddly enough, some people feel they are not sick nor are they sinners to the degree their names will be erased from the Book of Life. If we think ourselves Wise, be careful lest we stumble and fall. For even the wisest of Men is no match for our God in heaven. He knows my name, He knows my every thought, He sees each tear that falls and He hears me when I call. When we think everything is going great in our lives, keep in mind, Bad Company corrupts Good Character. We may not be able to reach “Everybody” but if we reach one, we will be doing what the Master would like for us to do. Words are not nearly enough for the bystander who knows nothing of Jesus Christ to see Him in all that we do. We must practice daily, emptying ourselves, so that we may be Filled with Love, Hope and Faith in Him! He will show himself in how we act. He will be revealed in what activities we engage in. He will shine when we help others and He will be Glorified when we give thanks and praise in His name! The battle lines has been drawn and our fight is only beginning. What have we done with the name of Jesus Christ today? With whom have we shared it? Has He been the focus of how we think in what we say and what we do? When we place Him first, we will be filled with knowing God’s answer never comes back void! If we have fallen away, today is the day of Salvation. While we crank up the music and speed on with our lives, pause and take a moment to remind yourselves, we are at War! Our thoughts, our bodies and our activities have been invaded by the Evil One who is fighting for control of our Salvation! It is a constant strain when people of the world do not have Jesus Christ as Lord over their lives. For this reason, we must put on the Armor of God! Empty ourselves of all we think we know and fuel up on His teachings by practicing what He preached. By becoming “Doers” of His word and not merely speakers. Blessed is he that hears the word of God and keeps it. If ever there was a time to pick up your Cross and follow Jesus it would be now, for to die to Jesus Christ is to live with our Father in heaven for eternity!. I’d rather fight Satan with the armor of Love, Faith and Hope in Jesus Christ than perish in a house of fools built on self reliance! In Spiritual Warfare, it takes daily discipline to study and obey the word of God. The only way to win this war is to be armed with the teachings of the Famous One, as they are detailed in Scripture and laid out in plain view for the world to see. However, even now many are blind to the Light of this world and will choose Darkness, so as to avoid their own reflection from the mirror and what it might reveal. It is with certainty that we will all lose some battles along the way but winning the War is the most important thing we can do! Remember, here on earth, War can be long and drawn out but our reward is in Heaven with the Son of Man for eternity! What we know is that if we are in Christ, we are new creations, the old one is gone and the new has come. The Holy Spirit can overcome hostile environments and fill us again and again with joy. He helps us swim against the strongest tide! We are strong, and the word of God lives in us, and we have overcome the evil one! The only power that will keep us victorious on a daily basis comes through the Holy Spirit. It is not about what we can do, but what God can do! Jesus said, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” It is God who makes us stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. In Gods Grip
