Ever wonder why most Bodybuilders use words like, “Me, Myself and I” in most everything we do as it relates to our sport and then transfers over into how we live our Lives?

                
Not long ago, I stumbled into what I felt was an “Awakening” to the Important things in Life and took steps to ensure that I was on the right path by Cleansing Myself of some Demons. While I have been in the pursuit of happiness most all my life, “The Shawn Ray Way,” I rarely looked for ways to give credit to others for work and success I had accomplished.  As a Pro Athlete, I had to push the Iron, I had to cook the food, I had to get on stage, I had to sacrifice the parties, Me, me, me! The end result was usually “Me” taking credit for the Success or Failures that were to follow, not realizing that it takes a “Village” at times, to keep things in its proper order. In a way I developed Discipline beyond comparison. I developed a hunger that could not be tamed! I held secret my Personal Philosophy on life! “Do as I say, not as I do.” My reasoning was simple, people wouldn’t like what they saw if I revealed who I really was to them.

Well, long story short, we are judged by what we do, as well as who we believe in.

Understanding that, Faith alone is one thing but what we do and how we live, are what our legacies will tell others about who we really are. Exposing the “Inner Self” at best is a frightening thing but to be Real with yourself can be a Liberating experience! Letting go of the past to embrace the future if your sights are set on ridding yourself of bad habits, evil, life of sin, lying, and deceitful ways consider yourself Free! Building a future with the Bricks to Life, walking with our Lord and Savoir, Jesus Christ by Faith and not by sight takes the pain of Sin and turns it into Pleasure for the Lord!

The greater the Sin, the greater the Pain we are subject to feel when confronted with the Truth!

The Pleasure Principle kicks in when we are “Broken” or defeated during our worst time. It is here where many of us will find the Lord, waiting with open arms, as he knocks on the door to our salvation. All we have to do is open it and invite Him into our house and into our hearts to spend time with us.  Me, Myself and I get lost in the struggle for our souls when choosing between Good and Evil. We do have a choice, when the choice comes to your door, who will you choose?

Why wait for the day when we are broken in Spirit?

All the Pleasure we need is in Him, seek and you shall find. Ask and it will be answered. We have choices in this life to be sure, will we wait for the worse time in our lives to make them or will we set our sights on Jesus and become the person He wants us to be now! There is a war going on in our lives daily, the struggle to do what is right over what is wrong. I suggest we rid ourselves of the negativity in our lives, pick up our Cross and follow Jesus who Is the light of this world, in Him is the Truth and the Truth shall set us Free!

I tried things my way and realized as a man, I am nothing. I walk by Faith, even when I don’t see. I do this because I know Jesus died on the Cross for all of our sins so that we won’t die but have eternal life though Him. I pray that my life of sin sets an example for others who may have doubts about the saving Grace of Jesus Christ who says, we are All God’s Children if we proclaim Him Publicly, he will not deny us before His Father privately.

The Pleasure is in keeping His Principles.
