Every so often we have to re-evaluate where we are and where are we  headed, if we are to get to the promise land!

It’s not hard to get to the “Promise Land” if you have a plan, just focus on the Goal and begin taking steps toward making the Dream a Reality! We all have different ideas regarding the Promise Land. For some, it may be a Graduation for others it may be a Victory  of some kind. Regardless of what your Promise Land is, if we don’t “pause” to look back at where we where and where we are, we will lose sight of where we are trying to get to!

Ponder this for a moment, when we are so close to the action we sometimes can’t see the Forest for the Tree’s. Meaning, we may have to step “Outside the Box” to get a better look at our overall surroundings before we continue our present course of direction. We may not all be headed in the same direction or even follow the same path but the end result is the one thing we all have in common, getting to that place in life where we feel most comfortable and satisfied. Financial security for some does the trick, getting in shape is a wish come true for others. Lost in all of our desires and dreams is the path we choose to make these things become our Reality! We must take action to become more aware of our surroundings, make better choices regarding our associations with other people. We should become wise in the ways of “Aggressive- Passivity” and learn the “Art of Listening” to get ahead of the curve. 
We actually all have to slow down just a bit, to see the confusion up ahead where the music is too loud and people are driving too fast! We need to sharpen our 5 senses to become acutely aware of our environment so as to not become the environment with all the blemishes and dirty landscape. By focusing on the observation of situations, we  can open doors that were once closed before because we moved too fast to get things done  and missed opportunities when they came knocking at our doors.

If we suddenly “Switched Gears” and took a good look at things BEFORE we make our move, give our opinions, decide our course of action and  make up our minds, we would be better suited to get ahead of the game and reach our destination of  a quiet quality of life our “QUAN!”

The Promise Land can be anywhere in life you feel makes you happy. In that, Success is Happiness when it can be reached by way of our hard work and sacrifice. Winning the Lottery is not reaching the Promise Land for many of us hard working individuals. It can be the beginning of future problems related to how to spend the money let alone, how to save the money causing greater problems than those hard working class people who have to chart their course, save their “Chips” and strategize their next move to get ahead in life.

Switching Gears can be a changing of your thought process with regard to how we judge people, how we neglect others, pay our bills late, fail to plan in advance the simplest of things. We need to clean house from time to time on how we approach our jobs and live our lives so that we can remain productive individuals who contribute to Man Kind and not just feed off Mankind.
After watching former NFL Star, Pat Tillman walk away from the Riches of Professional Football last year to fight for his country this year in war torn Afghanistan and ultimately Die for it, I found reason to pause for the cause realizing that Life is what you make of it and so is the Promise Land!

No matter where your Promise Land is, you need to have a plan to get there which may require you to change the path your on or your thought process and wake up to the fact that we are on this Planet but for a Blink of an Eye! What we do with our time is our business but what you contribute to Life is what will be our Legacy! We may not all Be the next Pat Tillman, a Hero who fought and Died for his country however, we all have needs, wishes, goals and desires beyond our personal satisfaction. If we can find a way to please ourselves in our search for the Promise Land, try a little harder to make a way to please someone else.

We will all die one day, this we all know but like Pat Tillman, we can live forever if we live right by looking at the Bigger picture!
