From within comes the Power to move Mountains against all odds

Once in a while we have to dig deeper to get to where we want to be in this life! We sometimes need to be backed into a corner or down and out before we start to see the Big Picture. When we have no where to go, nothing but ourselves to rely on, we know that looking inward and digging deeper is the only way to get from point A to Z! How often have we given in to the demands of fatigue and failure? Who would want to go back to the Front Lines and look Defeat in the face again and try a little harder to get the Victory?

When our backs are against the wall, some will rise to the occasion; others will crumble under the pressure. This will be the defining moment of who we are as a people. Choosing which side of the fence we want to be on when the light goes out is entirely an “Inward” decision we all must face in various circumstances as we move through this thing called “Life.”  Victory or Defeat will sum up how we do in School, how we compete in Sports, deciding whether to have children or not, what types of people we choose as friends, what kind of business practices we engage in and so on. At some point in time we will all be faced with decisions only we can make. Move into an area where we don’t know the outcome of our decisions and hope for the best or pave a way for ourselves through hard work to ensure victory at all cost!

The Inner Peace I am speaking of is the kind where you can look back without Regret.

Refusing to Lose by way of hard work filled with hunger and passion for success in All things: as person, competitor, husband, neighbor, friend, teacher, student, son, daughter, mother or father. When we plan to succeed we never fail. We may not always finish in first place but winning the race in Life has more to do with the Journey than who crosses the line first. The important thing is to finish the race by way of doing the best you can in All things. To do so requires a certain amount of Patience, the ability to learn from mistakes, the willingness to endure pain and the desire to fight on! I can say with a degree of certainty that anything worth fighting for is worth trying to achieve. The character of a man is not how he reacts in victory but the lessons he learns in defeat.

Sitting on top of the world in First Place means little to those still fighting to get there. Reaching back to share and care for others, to aid and assist them when they are down, these are the victories that come with no medals. Giving instead of taking is worth its weight in Gold when you see the fruit it bears for others. How many times do we have to look at people whom have fallen from Grace on top of the world in their respective businesses or professions before we learn that it is not always best to simply finish in First Place. The Journey, lessons learned from our mistakes, sharing and caring along the way is just as important as finishing the race of Life. Don’t miss the importance of being respectful to those who have tried and failed, not everyone will find happiness at the end of the race. However, simply challenging ourselves to be better than we are is a step in the right direction whether it is in competition, business or life in general.

When the dust settles and we are separated not by who won and who lost but how many people’s lives we have affected positively and how much good came from it, where will you be? A trophy hound that reflects coming in First Place in all that you have participated in or a multitude of friends who came to know your heart and passion by way of sharing and caring for them along your journey to finish the race.
When we count the costs, what are you willing to give up to reach back and help someone in need or that is down and out? They too need a helping hand at times when our bellies are full and our pockets run over with extra blessings. The need to see the Big Picture in our finest hour is the lesson we should all learn by Paying it Forward to the less fortunate.

The Inner Peace will come to those wise enough to see the Forest for the Trees and give without expecting. As well, they too shall receive without expecting in ways never thought possible by watching those they have helped by way of an encouraging word, helping hand or lending an ear. Life is short, it is not what we can take from it that will secure our future but what we can leave behind and share with others that will bring the Inner Peace only found in Love.

"For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son."
